Opening this week: Abstract Reality

November 6, 2017

The Northwest Nazarene University Friesen Galleries invites you to view Abstract Reality, a new show with work from Pam Grant and Laurie Asahara from the Nampa Art Guild.

Pam's abstract paintings employ strong color, shape and texture, while Laurie uses paint to represent a realistic life-like quality. Taking two different approaches to the same medium, both artists show us their unique perspective and force us to view the world in a different ways. Experimentation is a mysterious quest to create a painting.

A reception to open the show will be held Thursday, November 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Friesen Galleries located on the upper level of the Brandt Center on NNU's campus.

The show will run November 7 – January 31. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment.
