“A Midsummer Night's Dream” presented by NNU

February 19, 2018

According to William Shakespeare, “the course of true love never did run smooth.” On March 8 through 11, Northwest Nazarene University’s Department of Music will show just how complicated love’s course can be through their presentation of Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Performances will take place March 8–10 at 7:30 p.m. and March 11 at 3:00 p.m. in NNU’s Little Theatre.

On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play within a play. Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue.

Tickets are available through the NNU Department of Music at 467-8413 or online. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission; $5 for students, seniors and military.
